Why a New Constitution?
A growing part of residents in Western Canada, particularly Alberta, believe that remaining as part of Canada no longer serves the region's best interests. With abundant resources, strong foundational values, and a vision for a brighter future, we believe Western Canada has the potential to thrive as an independent constitutional republic.
What is This Constitution About?
Using the United States Constitution as a starting point, we have drafted a framework that emphasizes liberty, accountability, and lessons learned from history. While respecting its roots, this constitution aims to address modern challenges and reinforces protections for fundamental rights and freedoms.
Unlike the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, this framework goes further to safeguard individual liberties, ensuring they cannot be easily overridden by government actions or popular opinion.
